Mission Statement

The Hampstead Volunteer Fire Engine & Hose Company No. 1 is dedicated to protecting and preserving the lives, property, and environment of the citizens and visitors of the communities to which we serve.  We will achieve this by providing the highest levels of fire suppression, rescue services, and emergency medical care through continual training, public education, and emergency response.

HVFC Responds To Second Serious Vehicle Collision Within 24 Hours

Fire Lieutenant JJ Lynott, April 23

Around 1:30am HVFC was alerted to respond mutual aid into Baltimore County to the 15700 block of Hanover Pike for a vehicle collision with entrapment.

Units arrived and found a vehicle underneath the back of a tractor trailer with one person trapped. Truck 2 and Paramedic 28 assisted with extricating and treating the patient. ... (Full Story & Photos)

Fire Lieutenant JJ Lynott, April 22

Just after 8am this morning HVFC was alerted for a vehicle collision in the area of the Hampstead Bypass south traffic circle. The call was upgraded by Carroll County fire dispatch to a vehicle collision with entrapment while units were enroute.

HVFC Juniors Participate In Countywide Spring Junior Firefighter Day

On Saturday, April 20th HVFC Juniors participated in the countywide Junior Firefighter training day hosted by the Gamber & Community Fire Company.

The day‘s activities included:
- Overview of Reese's Rescue Squad and rescue tools
- Overview of Union Bridge's ATV and assorted equipment and capabilities
- Overview of Gamber's Dive Unit and Water Rescue Team and equipment

After a year long process, President Dwyer and Chief Hipsley were able to broker a deal to return our 1931 American LaFrance (200 gallon booster tank with 750 gpm pump) from it’s previous owner Todd Calhoun.
