| Last evening, the Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company proudly hosted its first formal Annual Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet. The evening provided an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments of 2025 while recommitting to continuous improvement and service excellence in 2026.
The banquet featured several distinguished guest speakers, including Mayor Chris Nevin, Chief Michael Robinson, and Charles Simpson, President of the Maryland State Firefighters Association. Their remarks highlighted the importance of volunteer service, leadership, and the continued dedication of HVFC members to the Hampstead community.
During the ceremony, the HVFC Administrative Officers, Board of Managers, and Emergency Operations Officers formally took the oath of office. Auxiliary officers, who are traditionally installed earlier each year, were also recognized during the program for their leadership and continued service.
The evening also included the presentation of several awards recognizing outstanding dedication and achievement:
Years of Service Recognition
Top Responders
Administrative Member of the Year
Firefighter of the Year
Auxiliary Member of the Year
President’s Award
Chief’s Award
Auxiliary President’s Award
Four Meritorious Service Awards
The Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet marked a meaningful return to a long-standing tradition, celebrating the people who make the Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company strong. We congratulate all officers and award recipients and thank every member for their continued commitment to serving our community with pride, professionalism, and dedication.
A special thank you to Mr. Todd Calhoun who served as MC and to the Hereford Volunteer Fire Company who transferred to our station to cover calls for service. |
