On Wednesday, April 4th at approximately 1614 hrs, station 2 was alerted to assist with a vehicle collision with possible rescue at the intersection of Bert Fowler Rd and Old Fort Schoolhouse Rd in Manchester. Within minutes, Engine Tanker 24 bounced with 5 volunteers. Paramedic 49 arrived and advised no rescue but had one patient, priority 2, category Bravo, and requested aviation. Simultaneously, Paramedic 79 was alerted for a second patient who was priority 3. Rescue Squad 4 arrived and assisted the medic crew with removal of the patient. The crew of E/T 24 helped spread absorbent and then secured a landing zone for Trooper 3. Once the patient was loaded, Trooper 3 was quickly up in the sky again heading to Shock Trauma. Units cleared shortly after.
