Around 0058 hours stations 2, 3, and 9 were alerted for a vehicle collision with reported rollover and rescue in the 2900 block of Coon Club Rd. Engine 23 called en route followed by Truck 2 soon after dispatch. Units en route had to exercise extreme caution due to the icy road conditions. Prior to arrival, a by-stander advised dispatch that the occupant was out of the truck and that there was no rescue. Engine 23 arrived to find a truck rolled over on it's side. Truck 2 was advised to stage on the high ground to avoid getting stuck and Rescue Squad 9 was placed in service. 23's crew assisted Medic 37 with packaging the patient. Units cleared shortly after and scene was turned over to police for investigation.
Station 2 kept busy all night with one rescue in Reese and three different rescues in neighboring Baltimore county. Please stay alert as the temperatures continue to drop and rain/snow begin to fall over the next few months.
