At 05:29 hours Saturday morning, Station 2 was alerted for a vehicle collision on Houcksville Road. Engine-Tanker 24 responded with 5 volunteers closely followed by Utility 2 with 4 personnel. The units found the minivan had sheared off a utility pole and wires were scattered along and across the road. The lone occupant had self-extricated from the vehicle and was standing nearby. Care was transferred to Paramedic 49, but the patient refused treatment and transport. The appropriate utility companies were notified and units cleared after turning control of the scene over to the state police.
