Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company volunteers, career staff from the Department of Fire and EMS, and the Maryland National Guard have been on storm duty since yesterday afternoon.

Emergency response teams remain fully prepared to handle incidents; however, residents are strongly advised to stay home and travel only if absolutely necessary.

A Maryland National Guard unit is currently stationed at Hampstead. Hosting this team is an honor, and their support is greatly appreciated during this weather event.
