On Thursday, April 27th in the late afternoon HVFC was alerted to assist Lineboro VFD for a report of a dwelling fire with rescue.

Units from Manchester and Lineboro arrived to find smoke coming from the house with a report of two people trapped. Upon Truck 2’s arrival they assisted other units with rescue, extinguishment and ventilation. Two occupants were removed from the dwelling and transferred to the care of EMS crews on scene. Both occupants were transported via medevac to a local area hospital. Crews operated on scene for approximately two hours.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal was on scene and handling the investigation.
