Around 4 PM, station 2 was alerted for a vehicle collision with rescue involving two vehicles with one of them overturned on Dave Rill Road. Units arrived on the scene to find that one vehicle was rolled over on its passenger side with the driver inside in his seatbelt. Crews stabilized the vehicle with the winch on Truck 2 and the struts from Rescue Squad 4. Relief cuts at the lower portion of the roof were made and then the A, B, and C posts were cut which allowed the roof to be flapped down. The seatbelt was cut and the patient was removed from the vehicle. The patient refused care from the paramedic. The driver of the second vehicle, which had damage to its passenger side, was uninjured. The scene was left to Maryland State Police and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department.
