On September 9th, station 4 (Manchester) was alerted for a Vehicle Collision with rescue. Manchester's units arrived on scene to find one patient heavily entrapped. Hampstead was then alerted to help with rescue operations. At that time, aviation was also requested to fly out the patient. Engine 23 quickly responded and assisted with an extended patient extrication due to the patient being severely entrapped within the vehicle. Station 3 (Westminster) units arrived later during the extrication as well as Utility 2 and Truck 2. The patient was then extricated and quickly flown to shock trauma by Trooper 1. Hazmat 30 was requested to help with large amounts of fluids on the roadway.
