HVFC RECEIVES PUBLIC FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY EDUCATION GRANT |

The Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company has been awarded the 2015 Public Fire and Life Safety Education Grant by the Maryland State Firemen's Association and the Office of the State Fire Marshal. In order to support the fire and life safety educational efforts of local fire companies, the MSFA, in partnership with the Office of the State Fire Marshal, offers the Public Fire and Life Safety Education Grant Program. This program is designed to provide assistance to MSFA member companies by providing funding assistance in the form of fire prevention publications and supplies for the development, continuation or enhancement of local public fire and life safety education efforts. These recognized, effective public and life safety programs are one of the best ways to protect citizens and firefighters from injury and death caused by fire or other traumatic incidents. The Grant Award Certificate was received at the MSFA Convention in Ocean City. The grant required that Hampstead Fire Company write a $100 check to facilitate the release of $1,426.50 worth of fire prevention materials from Alert-All. The materials were received by the fire company on 7/27. The materials received are: The officers and members of the Hampstead Volunteer Fire Company sincerely appreciate and thank the Maryland State Firemen's Association and the Office of the State Fire Marshal for this tremendous grant. The supplies are invaluable and will be used during our numerous public fire safety education activities. |
