On Wednesday, June 24th, a little after 4 PM, Hampstead was alerted for a vehicle collision on Route 482. Medic 28 and Engine Tanker 24 responded and arrived on scene to find a pick-up truck on its side after colliding with a power line pole. The driver had self-extricated himself from the vehicle and was quickly transported to the hospital with only minor injuries. Power lines making contact with a tree created small sparks and some small fire in the tree. Fire spread was very minimal and went out on its own. Engine Tanker 24 secured the scene and requested BGE, and remained on scene until handing the scene over to BGE and State Police.
