The Hampstead Junior Fire Company participated in the Junior Day activities at New Windsor Volunteer Fire Company. Junior Day is a yearly get-together organized by the Carroll County Volunteer emergency Services Association (CCVESA) for the juniors of the fourteen county fire companies to train together and then compete against each other. The first half of the day was reserved for the training sessions that included a vehicle extrication demonstration, search and rescue evolution, ground and aerial ladders evolutions, overland rappelling, and trauma patient care. After the delicious lunch, the competitions began. The junior fire companies competed against each other in donning of the gear, hose hook-up, bucket brigade, and the battle of the buckets. It was a fun-filled day.
