Approximately seven minutes after midnight on November 1st, Station 2 was alerted for a vehicle collision with rollover. Medic 29 and Engine 23 arrived to find two vehicles involved – one on its side. The vehicle on its side apparently had rolled about 150 feet after a near head-on collision before coming to rest at its final location. Two patients from the SUV were transported priority 3 to Carroll Hospital Center. According to witnesses, the driver of the pick-up truck had fled the scene. Engine 23 cleared after its crew unsuccessfully searched the surrounding area for the victim. Control of the scene was transferred to the Carroll County Sherriff’s Department.
