Around 10:40 AM Engine 23 and Utility 2 arrived to find a car had driven through the front doors of 7-Eleven on Hanover Pike. The car was completely inside the store. The driver and passenger were visibly shaken but otherwise OK. Two customers, an adult and a minor, who had just checked out and were near the counter, were transported with cuts, bruises, and a leg injury to Carroll Hospital Center by Medic 49. The employees of the store and other customers inside the store at the time were emotionally distressed but had no physical injuries. The Carroll County Building Inspector found that the store had suffered no structural damage. The vehicle was pulled from the store and towed away.
