The Hampstead Junior Fire Company, Hampstead Miss Fire Prevention, Hampstead Miss Junior Fire Prevention, Brush 25, and Ambulance 28 participated in the Union Bridge Firemen’s Parade Wednesday evening. This parade marked the debut of the second Junior Fire Company Honor Guard. Several years ago, the original Junior Honor Guard had won the admiration of many throughout the state. Most of the original Honor Guard eventually joined the senior fire company and they are among our top responders. It is only fitting that two members of the original Honor Guard were in Brush 25 for this parade. Late last year, a group of Juniors wanted to form another Honor Guard. After working very hard during many frustrating practices throughout the winter and spring, and with the fire company’s help in obtaining their uniforms, they finally had the opportunity to put it all together and show the public what they can do. I have had some people tell me that they are looking as good as the original honor guard. All of the Juniors did an excellent job this evening!
