| The Hampstead Junior Fire Company hosted their annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt on March 23. A very large turnout of children of all ages came to eat breakfast, visit with the bunny, and "hunt" eggs. The early breakfast crowd was light, but the number of people eating breakfast increased dramatically as time approached the start of the egg hunt. Additional tables were set up in the engine bays to accommodate the larger crowd. The grassy lot was divided into sections for the three age groups: 0-5 years old, 6-10 years old, and 11 years and older. It is amazing how quickly the kids "found" the nearly 6000 surprise-filled eggs. It takes many people and much time to put this event together, but seeing the happy children makes all the hard work worthwhile. It seemed that all had a good time. The fire company and the juniors thank everyone for their support and generosity, which are genuinely and gratefully appreciated. |
