| Sunday October 12th the fire company hosted the 3rd annual Family Appreciation day. This was a day to thank the families of our members for the sacrifices they make in order to allow the fire company membership to provide fire & ems protection to the community. Members of the community that assist the company at the carnival, repairing equipment, banquets, etc are invited to attend as well. Those in attendance feasted on steamed crabs, fried & steamed shrimp, fried chicken, as well as meat platters, salads, crab soup and cake. The football game was shown on the big screen as well as a video of the past years company activities was shown at half time. The annual touch football game was organized in the grass lot adjacent to the firehouse with numerous participants. The food and games were fantastic, but the fellowship and camaraderie generated this day is immeasurable to the success of the fire company. Thanks to all who attended, cleaned up, and those that assist the fire company throughout the year, without you we could not be as successful as we are. See ya next year!! |
