The Hampstead Juniors program consists of children ages 10-15 (enrolled in the 5th grade) who have expressed interest in emergency services. The Juniors hold regular meetings at the fire house on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. In addition, the Juniors also host activities for the public, such as breakfasts with the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus. A typical meeting night will consist of a "business session", then such activities as practicing basic first aid skills or learning the principles of fire department operations. Once a year the juniors take part in the annual Carroll County Juniors Day held at the Carroll County Emergency Services Training Center. Juniors Day is a competition between junior fire departments from Carroll and surrounding jurisdictions where the juniors show their skills from the activities that they have learned during their meetings/trainings. The Juniors also run a stand during the Company's annual carnival in August to raise funds for their activities.
